Marilyn was a woman whose presence made every moment brighter. She was vibrant, caring, easy to talk to, and she had a way of making you feel understood the second you sat down with her. She loved beauty — in music, in art, in nature. You could hear it when she played the piano, feel it when classical music filled the room, taste it in her cooking, and see it in the way she appreciated the outdoors, golfing or camping . Every August long weekend at Maggie Lake, every Roughriders–Blue Bombers game, every family gathering — she brought joy, warmth, and connection. She wasn’t just part of the glue that held this family together. She was the glue. She cared deeply, paid attention, and made every get?together feel special simply by being there. I will miss her more than words can say. But will remember her always — in the traditions she loved, the kindness she showed, and the way she taught us to care for one another. She was the heart of this family. And she always will be.
