Dariusz (Darek) Gbur
January 18, 1967 – May 24, 2025

On the night of May 25, 2025, Darek passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Center. Darek loved spending time with his family, and was greatly loved by them. He had a gentle and faithful soul, and believed in tradition. We are heartbroken as his passing was unexpected, but we know he is at rest.

Darek is survived by his mother, Janina, and siblings, John (Bozena), Adam (Anna) and Ewa. Darek was predeceased by his father, Mieczyslaw. Darek will also be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and many close friends.

Darek was born in Bobrowo, Poland, and came to Canada with his parents and 3 siblings on October 17, 1978. He spent his time fixing cars, fishing, and playing cards with family and friends. Throughout his life, Darek worked at Motor Coach Industries, Sokol Polish Gymnastic Association, and other miscellaneous jobs. Darek was known for being generous with his time, and never refusing to lend a helping hand.

Prayers (9:30am) and Funeral Mass (10:00am) will take place on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Holy Ghost Parish, located at 342 Pritchard Avenue. Burial will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, located at 4387 Main Street.

Darek will be cherished and deeply missed
by all those who knew him.
