CAROLE GAIL BORN

On January 21, 2021 Carole Born passed away peacefully at Concordia Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Ernie Born, daughter Shauna, son Geoff (Karen) and her grandsons Steve and Ryan.

Carole grew up in Cypress River, Manitoba on a farm with her parents John and Dorothy as well as her sisters Diana and Lenore and brothers Leonard and Barry.  She attended elementary school at Bru Country School and high school in Cypress River.  Carole came to Winnipeg after graduation and worked at several companies including Great West Life, Manitoba Telephone System, the Assiniboine Credit Union, Canada Unemployment Services and Canada Pension.

Carole was an accomplished pianist who played by ear. She was also fine singer featured as both a soloist and with her two sisters accompanied by her mother on the piano.  She enjoyed her many trips south to escape Winnipeg winter cold.

Cremation has taken place and a family celebration will be held at a later date.
