WILLIAM “EWAN” WATT

It is with sadness that we announce the death of William “Ewan” Watt on Friday, February 15, 2019. Dad passed away at the Victoria Hospital, Winnipeg at the age of 73 years.
Dad was born in in the Orkney Islands in a town called Kirkwall, Scotland on July 10, 1945.  He came to Canada with his mother and sister in 1953.  He had a long and successful career in the office equipment industry. Dad was most proud of the work he did for many years as the President of the Retail Merchants Association of Manitoba. He was a sports fan and long-time season ticket holder with the Bombers and Jets 1.0.

Left to survive are his son Ewan Jr. (Sharlene); daughter Tanis Hutchinson (Kevin); grandchildren Rachel, Lauryn and Tyler; former wife Joyce Watt; sister Mary Hayes; as well as numerous, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved mother Thora Watt.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.  A family interment will be held at a later date.

A special thank you to the staff at Victoria Hospital who showed compassion to Dad in his final days.
