I'd like to share my condolences with the Schmeichel family, Rudy, Doris, Don, Ron, Darrell, and Randy’s children. I first met Randy at his parents' place in Toronto (1985). He and his brothers had a special bond and razzed each other like young brothers do. Randy was the kind of guy people loved to be in a room with as there was always so much jesting and laughter. He loved his kids, his whole family, and he loved life. My heartfelt compassion goes out to all who have been touch by this loss.

I would like express my condolences to your family for your loss. Randy was a great man who loved his family. We worked together at WRHA as Mobile Patrol Officers, and I always knew Randy as someone with a huge heart and as someone I could always talk to. Randy will always continue to live on in the memories of those who knew and loved him.

We knew Randy from WPS and enjoyed his company through out our careers on many levels. He was a great guy, fun loving and very caring. Randy will be missed but not forgotten. Our heartfelt sympathies are extended to his family at this very sad time.

My sincerect condolences for your loss. Ron & Don, my heart goes out to you both. One can never replace the lifetime of memories that our big brothers have given to us. I am sure Randy and Elie will be watching over their little bros as we continue our journeys. May God rest his soul and bring strength to his children and family.

I got to know Randy when he was a Patrol Officer at the University of Manitoba. He always had a smile and a funny story to share making the overnight shifts go by faster. He will be missed.

I am thankfull I had the chance to visit Randy in Porcupine Plains, the memories of driving in that convertable, horseback riding and the huge harvest moon, are priceless. We went to junior high, and the same church. Spent alot of time with our families growing up. Playing football on Sunday afternoon, plus whatever trouble we could get into. There are so many memories, but most of all what a special friend you were, you were like another brother to me. You will be missed by many, sleep well my friend, till we meet again, love ya Corrie

I join with innumerable others, in passing on deepest condolences to Randy's family. To me, this includes his extended family of school chums, co-workers, and even casual acquaintences. He certainly always would leave a lasting, positive impression no matter what his personal circumstances. Such a good listener, a great friend.
