WALTER (LAVERNE) STANLEY TAYLOR January 9, 1922 – June 6, 2012 It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Laverne after a courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at the Grace Hospital at the age of 90 years. Remaining to forever cherish his memory is his wife of 68 years of marriage, Nancy; daughter Karen (John); grandchildren Tara, Lori, and Alan; great-granddaughter Felicity; sisters Melita, Estelle and Lylene. Walter Laverne Stanley Taylor is a veteran of the Second World War. After the war he worked for 50 years for AbitibiBowater as a steam engineer at the pulp and paper mill located in Pine Falls, Manitoba. The Taylor family would live to give a heart-felt thank you to the staff members at the Grace Hospital (located on the 4th floor) for their care and kindness towards Laverne.
