WALTER E. C. MORRIS, D.F.C. CD Peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2012 Walter passed away at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre at the age of 89 years. Left to forever cherish Walter’s memory are his sons John (Sylvia), Jeffrey (Jennifer), James of Winnipeg; daughter Kathy (Lorenzo) of Dryden, ON; stepdaughter Sheila Forbes (Scott) of Lockport, MB; grandchildren Shannon, Tanya, Shaun, Shad, Jamie, Lisa, Tracy and great-grandchildren Chase, Desiree, Gabrielle, Ireland, Sawyer, Calan, Rylen, and Fynn. He was predeceased by his first wife Lily Mary Morris (1964); second wife Patricia F. Morris (2005); parents Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Morris, and Aunt and Uncle Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Richardson. Walter grew up in St. James attending Assiniboine School and graduated from St. James Collegiate in 1939. He joined the R.C.A.F. and served overseas in Bomber Command. After the war he pursued a career in Advertising, Public Relations, and printing in Winnipeg and Dryden, ON. Walter was a member of the Wartime Pilots and Observers Association in Winnipeg. On Thursday, January 26, 2012 Walter’s Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to both Catherine Place and Golden Door Geriatric Centre for their excellent care during Dad’s stay.
