VIOLET ROSE BIALEK

It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of our mother, Violet Bialek, on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the age of 78 years.

Left to mourn Violet’s memory are her children, Georginia (Brian), JoAnne (Bill), Wayne, Linda (Ken) and Andy (Katie); grandchildren, Kenny (Cheryl), Kristy (Layton), Melissa, Cayla (Scott), Alora (Kyle), Sierra, Jack, Amber, her great grandbaby to be, and her brother Richard Shaward. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Stanley and Angela Shaward, sister, Betty Skiba, and her beloved husband, Bob Bialek.

Mom was born in Springfield and moved to Beausejour to raise her family after she married Dad in January 1958. After all their children were grown and being a farm wife for many years, she got a job doing something she loved, which was dealing blackjack at the casinos. Mom and Dad lived at home on their farm, travelled when they could, until Dad passed away in 2007. Mom stayed on the farm until she could no longer manage by herself. She then went into East-Gate Lodge in Beausejour in April 2015.

We, the family, would like to thank the very special nurses at East-Gate Lodge, they know who they are, for the caring and compassion they brought to Mom’s last few years. Mom is back by her husband’s side and we know she is smiling. We will always love and miss you Mom.

Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 530 Atlantic Avenue, Beausejour, Manitoba. For those who wish, viewing will be held prior to Liturgy.
