THOMAS ALFRED WILEY

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Thomas Alfred Wiley at the age of 68. He fought a courageous battle with cancer and passed away with family at his side on Wednesday, February 27, 2019.

He was predeceased by the love of his life – Maureen and by his parents Anetta and Alfred and his three brothers Carl, Paul and David. He will be missed by his sons Brian (Leslie) and Bryce (Nathalie), stepdaughters Marsha (Rob), Crystal, Barb (Wayne), Grace (Gian) and by his siblings Bob (Sheila), Neil (Esther), Dennis (Teresa), Betty (Bill), and Margaret (Ken) as well as 17 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.

Tom was born and raised in Aylmer, Ontario and moved to Winnipeg at the age of 20. He worked his entire career at Carte International and retired in 2015. He made long time friends at Carte and still enjoyed attending their annual Christmas Party.

Tom was an active member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekah Association where he held the position of Grand Master for the Jurisdiction of Manitoba. He was a member of Alpha Lodge #92 and Norwood Rebekah Lodge #42. He loved making new friends wherever he went.  He also had a passion for music and loved to play the guitar.

Special thanks to all the staff at Riverview Health Centre for the love and support you had provided him during his final weeks. In lieu of flowers, donation in his memory can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Victoria Community Centre, 950 Sturgeon Road.
