TARA LEE MARY MAY

It is with tremendous sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Tara on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the age of 48.

Tara will be missed by the love of her life Stephen Mark May and their three children, Stephen Spencer May, Keira May and Connor May.

Survived by her mother Pauline Beck, father-in-law Stephen May, brothers; Jim Beck, Terry Beck, Brent (Lisa) Beck and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is predeceased by her Baba Lena Sliziak, father Bill Beck and mother-in-law Gloria May.

Tara was born October 22, 1975 and raised in Hazel Dell, Saskatchewan. She dedicated love and compassion to her work at Main Street Project for many years. In 2022, Tara joined her husband to build the family business. Together they were an incredible team. Stephen was her soulmate and best friend.

Tara and Stephan first met through a mutual friend. For Stephen, it was love at first sight. The two married in Hazel Dell, SK in 2002 amongst friends and family. Tara was absolutely stunning, and her contagious laugh filled the day.

She enjoyed reading a good romance novel, snuggling with her cats and spending time with her family above all. When the kids were small, every summer Tara and Stephen would take the kids across Canada in their old motor home. It may or may not have broken down more than once, adding to their adventures.

She lived for family, a dedicated mother in love with her children. She was kind, funny and affectionate. She was their biggest fan and loudest cheerleader, raising them to be unapologetically themselves. To know her children is to know Tara. Their loving kind, and compassionate spirits are a testament to the kind of person she was. And she was so proud of each of them.

A public viewing will be held at Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel located at 1020 Main Street on Thursday, February 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, February 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel 1020 Main Street.
