ROCCO “ROCKY” WITTWER

Rocky, beloved husband, father, brother and uncle, passed away at his residence in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on August 19, 2024 at the age of 77.

Born on September 27, 1946, in Hardisty. Alberta to Lorna and Max Wittwer. Rocky spent his early years in Czar, Alberta before moving to Calgary. On July 5, 1992 he married Gail, beginning a partnership filled with love, laughter and unwavering support.

A master electrician by trade, Rocky was the owner and operator of Total Control Systems Inc., in Calgary, Alberta. His work was defined by integrity, dedication and a strong work ethic. After retiring Rocky fulfilled his dream of building a home at Adams Lake, British Columbia, where he enjoyed the peace of nature. He had a passion for travel, especially spending winters in Mexico, he also cherished the time he spent hunting and enjoying music. Rocky was known for his strong opinions, but those who knew him best admired his straightforwardness and the ease with which he made lasting friendships.

Rocky will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate to share in his life:
his loving wife and best friend Gail; his daughters Stephanie (Derek) and Cobra(Aaron); his sister Sheron; and brother Vern.

Rocky, you will forever be in our hearts, and your memory will continue to inspire us.
