ROBERT GEORGE PENBERTHY
February 6, 1961 – July 30, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Robert George Penberthy (Bo-Bear/Booby) on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at the age of 58 years.

Robert is survived by his sister Penny (Don) Shouten of Regina, SK, their children Shannon and Teralene, great nieces Ainsley and Zaydie, and great nephew Carver; brother Shannon (Heather) Penberthy, neice Charlie of Southey, SK; aunt Darlene (Terry) Dunning, and their children Troy and Derek of Airdrie, AB. He was predeceased by his mother Gloria Egbert (nee Thompson) of Moosomin, SK; and father David Penberthy of Bedfordshire, England; and brother David Penberthy of Sylvan Lake, AB.

Rob was also predeceased by his uncle-in-law Paul Huzil; cousin Chantel Huzil; and father-in-law Gerald Vosper. He is survived by Simone Hryhoruk; Edward, Leona, and Ashley Pauls; mother-in-law Doreen Vosper; aunt Carol Huzil; Clark (Geri), Nicholas, Matthew, and Conner Hryhoruk; Cory (Cherie) and Eric Vosper; Shawn Vosper; and very many close family friends that Rob spent much time with over the last 40 years he was with us.

Rob was born in Souris, Manitoba on February 6, 1961. He was a man of few words but one with a very generous heart. His greatest hobby was woodworking where he would spend many hours in the day working alongside Ed, vying for space and hardly saying a word. On Friday’s, after the days work was done, it was shop beers. His works of art are enjoyed by too many to count; he would make pieces and leave them in random parking lots to be picked up by a surprised individual. Rob’s love of movies became a big part of his and Ashley’s time spent together. He also had an all-time fascination with outer space. His love for animals was heartwarming. Rob worked for Stanish Plastering for 35 years and had a family like relationship with Allan Stanish and his family. He truly loved his work and enjoyed his friendships with coworkers over the years.

Thank you to all those who came to Rob’s aid so quickly. As per Rob’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.

We will not say goodbye, but see you again
