RICHARD WALTER EDWARD DYKES

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Walter Edward Dykes on Sunday, February 21, 2021.

Rick will be remembered by his wife of 47 years, Margaret, along with his three children; Eric (Melanie), Kari and Ian. He is gone too soon but leaves us with hearts full of love and wonderful memories.

Born July 27, 1949, Rick grew up St. James before marrying and raising his family in Charleswood. He was very proud of being a Chartered Accountant and enjoyed a prolific career in public service, including his lengthy tenure as a senior manager with the provincial Treasury Board Secretariat.

Rick’s favourite place in his last years was the front porch of the beautiful little house we built together on our family property in Gimli. He loved nothing more than a comfy chair, a fresh cup of coffee and being with his family.

We will miss Rick’s big laugh and warm hugs, and we are truly blessed to have had him in our lives. We love you forever.
