Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Phyllis Dian Saunders (nee Lauterer) on March 16, 2021, at the age of 56.
She was predeceased by her mother, Dian Lauterer in 2002 and by all grandparents. Phyllis will be missed by her children Tanya Wright and Mathew (Emilie) Wright; husband Gord Saunders, step-children Katelyn Saunders (Eric Heinrichs), Patricia, Derrick, Cassandra Saunders; father Phillip Lauterer, sisters Ann (Rob) Chapel, Margaret Lauterer, Elizabeth (Brian) Elcheshen, brother Bill (Barb) Lauterer, step-granddaughter, nine nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Phyllis was born on June 17, 1964 in Toronto Ontario. She has lived in Phoenix Arizona, Boyds Corner New Brunswick, Iffezheim Germany, and Winnipeg Manitoba.
Phyllis’ greatest love was her children, whom she spoke of often. She enjoyed a long road trip (especially to Grandma’s), going fishing, a good bonfire, and a celebration of anything with family, which she loved to tease and poke.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
