Milly and my mother, Eunice Purtell became friends during WWII - they were stationed together in England and cooked for the RCAF pilots. Milly stood up for Mom at her wedding and prepared the wedding supper. On many of Mom's trips to visit her family in Saskatoon & Yorktown, we stopped in Winnipeg to visit.
