It is with great sadness that we announce, with her children by her side, the passing of Stella.  Stella passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 20th, 2022, at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 92.  Stella was predeceased by her husband, Henry Robidoux, age 86 years, daughter, Donna Mae, and son, Kelly.   She leaves to mourn her children: Karen Robidoux and Michael Robidoux, wife Judy Robidoux (Jones); grandchildren:  Jessica Wittick (Tourand), Janelle Tourand, Danielle Robidoux, Collette Robidoux; great-grandchildren: Logan Wittick, Quinn Wittick; sister, Eunice (Dickey), sister, Alice (Daignault); brother Eddy Davies, brother Ronny Davies, brother Don Davies, other relatives, and many friends.

Stella is predeceased by her parents John Davies and Formosa Zastre, brother Leo Davies, brother Wayne Davies, brother Lawrence Davies.

Stella was raised in rural Manitoba.  She met Henry in May 1949 at Sunnyside Beach (now Camp Assiniboia) then later married in October 11, 1949.  They settled down in their home in Cartier, Manitoba where they raised 4 children:  Donna Mae, Kelly, Karen and Michael.    Stella was a kind, talented, witty and soft-spoken woman.  She was supportive in many ways to her husband, children and grandchildren.   She was delightful to be around and loved to chuckle. Stella loved living in the country and growing her flower garden in the summer; she especially adored her hanging flower baskets outside her house where she could watch the hummingbirds hover nearby.  Mom had a talent of bringing the family together with her superb cooking, baking and charm.    She loved knitting, playing the game, Scrabble, with her family, which would make her laugh, and she enjoyed travelling around the globe with her husband and friends

Mothers never really die, they

Just keep the house up in the sky,

They polish the sun by day

and light the stars that shine at

night, keep the moonbeams

silvery bright and in the

heavenly home above they wait

to welcome those they love.

As per Stella’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A big thank you to the staff at the Adult Dialysis Unit at Health Sciences Centre, the doctors and many therapists at the Rehab and Occupational Therapy Departments at Health Sciences Centre.  Also, a big thank you to all the Home Care staff who came to our house to help mom.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Stella on:  Friday, August 12th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Wojcik’s, 2157 Portage Ave., at Sharp Blvd., Winnipeg, MB  R3J 0L4
