Mary Elizabeth Brett
June 18, 1953 – May 24th, 2025

On the morning of May 24th, 2025, Mary passed away peacefully at the Seven Oaks Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Mary was an amazing mother, daughter, grandmother, wife, and friend. She was also an incredibly resilient and strong person. We are heartbroken as her passing was unexpected, but we know she is at rest.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Scott, children Rory (Erin) and Heather (Manny), grandchildren Mia, Sean, Nathan, and Gabriel. Mary also leaves behind brother Terry, sister Wendy, Sisters and brothers-in-law of the Brett Clan, Paula, Chris, Lauren (Niek), and Robert (Nikki). Mary was predeceased by her parents, Bruce and Marjorie Wilson.

Mary was born and raised in Winnipeg. She grew up in Wildwood Park, and she spent her summers at Lake of the Woods, building countless memories with her family, friends, and children. Mary was a gifted educator, and she worked in the Winnipeg School Division for ____ years. Mary was known for touching the lives of everyone around her and for her unwavering strength.

A Come and Go Celebration of Life will take place at her and Scott’s home on Friday, May 30 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Mary will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
