Marion Grace Ruth Fidler Blair

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Marion Fidler, age 96, at Victoria General Hospital in Wpg., MB on Sept. 2, 2026.
She was born on May 27, 1930 in Miami, MB. The daughter of James and Joan Blair.
Marion attended business school in Wpg., she was a secretary for over 50 years, retiring in 1991.
In addition to her parents, Marion was predeceased in death by her husband of 41 years, George Fidler, also by her son Donald Halfyard and granddaughter Meghan Halfyard.
Marion is survived by her daughter Shannon Mc Rae, son Kelly Halfyard (Joanne), daughter Regan Halfyard, grandsons Jason Mc Rae (Linda), John Halfyard (Tiffany) and James Halfyard, and the joy of her life her great grandchildren Jack and Violet Bloomfield, Alex Swain, James Hewat, Brian Tabinski and Ellie Halfyard.
Marion’s presence will be sorely missed. We let go of a remarkable woman, a loving mother, and doting grandmother, great grandmother, and a kind soul. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the love, joy, kindness and generosity that were the essence of Marion’s being.
The Family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Victoria Hospital for their kind care in Marion’s final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Marion’s honor. No formal service will be held, and cremation has taken place as per Marion’s wishes.
