LORNE (LAURENT) MOLLOT (1929–2026)

He passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, in Winnipeg. Born in Carman, MB, Lorne was a graduate in engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and spent his career in Quebec’s pulp and paper industry. An active golfer, he was particularly proud of scoring his age—82 at 82. He was also an enthusiastic competitive curler and took pride in his many awards.

Predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Mariette; children Richard and Julie; and brothers Rene and Marcel. He is survived by his 2 sisters-in-law Louise, Denise; his children Joanne, Robert, Louise; his grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends.

The family profoundly thanks Mark, Michelle, and Roger for their dedicated care during his retirement.

A funeral service will take place May 2, 11:00am at St Paul the Apostle Church, Winnipeg.
