LISA ANNE HOLDER

(nee TITTLEMIER)

January 8, 1974 – January 1, 2021

While her brother sang and played one of her favourite tunes, our beloved Lisa passed away peacefully. Lisa’s three-year battle with metastatic breast cancer came to an end, January 1, 2021 at the St. Boniface Hospital.

She is survived by her loving husband Darren, daughters Emma and Jorja, parents Britta and James Tittlemier, in laws Bill and Gail Holder, brother-in-law Curtis Holder with wife Deneen and their children Sharaya, Ashton, Caiden and Brennan, and Lisa’s brother Kurt Tittlemier with wife Victoria and their children Oliver, Selah and Theodore. Lisa cherished her aunty and uncle Ingrid and Jerry Zechel and Silva Carswell. She is also survived by the Tittlemier aunts and uncles and her loving cousins. Lisa’s warm and generous personality created a large community of friends and colleagues, too many to mention here. Lisa’s memory will always live on with her dear friends, Chelsea Ruth, Anneke Gillis and John Graham.

Lisa was born on January 8, 1974. She was a sweet child with a very curious nature which led to some very interesting adventures. Lisa attended Royal School, Charleswood Junior High, and graduated from Shaftesbury High School in 1992. She went on to the University of Manitoba and graduated with a degree in textile design from the faculty of Human Ecology. She won the best design award in her graduating year (1996).

Lisa started her employment at Ricki’s Fashion as a buyer and ended her time there in the design department. After the birth of her two children, she took on a part time career managing Winnipeg’s renowned Deseo Bistro. After six years her daughters firmly entrenched in school, Lisa decided to go back to the Design Industry.  She was hired by Mondetta Fashion as Design Technician and worked in design until her cancer diagnosis.

Lisa was very much a fun-loving person! She loved life and all it had to offer. No task was too big or small for our Lisa. She loved her girls with all her heart, supporting them in their studies and all of their extracurricular activities. Lisa, husband Darren and their children spent many days camping in their trailer. They also loved to spend time at their friends’ cottages in Lake of the Woods.

We would like to thank Dr. Pat Harris and all the staff at Cancer Care at the Grace Hospital for their very good care of Lisa.

There will be no formal funeral at this time because of Covid-19 restrictions. We are planning a celebration of Lisa’s life possibly in June at Lake of the Woods- Everyone is Welcome!
