LESLIE ROBERT BRADEN

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leslie Braden after a courageous battle he passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2022, surrounded by his loving family in his home.

Leslie will be lovingly remembered by his wife Roswitha (nee Kazmiekczak) and sons Jason and Clayton, grandchildren Jolene and Asher with extended family; Heidi (Darcy) and Zachary. Brother-in-law Reinhard, sister in laws; Rosemarie (Ray), Regina (Ed), Rodina and Ruth along with numerous family and friends, especially Mel.

He was predeceased by his parents Elmer and Velma and brother Victor.

Leslie was born in Winnipeg on May 7, 1951 and remained in Winnipeg at the age of 71 years. He worked for the City of Winnipeg for more than 30 years on road construction along with the sewer and water department.

He was a loving husband, a good father and a great friend. His sons and grandchildren were his greatest joy. He enjoyed spending time with his sons 4x4ing, quadding, fishing and camping together with friends.

Leslie will be remembered for his contagious laugh, great smile, huge personality and wit. He loved playing pranks on people then standing back watching and laughing as it played out. He lived his life to his own tune. He enjoyed listening to country music and watching old western movies. He liked meeting his friends for coffee. Leslie enjoyed working in his garage doing mechanical repairs for friends and family.

As per Leslie’s request there will be no formal service or celebration of life, the family will honor his wishes.

Special thanks to all family and friends especially good friend Mel, for all your love and support. To all of Leslie’s doctors and medical staff, thank you from Leslie’s family.
