Larry Czarnecki

July 14, 1944 - July 14, 2026

Larry Wayne Czarnecki

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Wayne Czarnecki in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 14, 2026.

Larry was born on July 14, 1944, in Dauphin, Manitoba, to his parents, Lena and Michael Czarnecki.

Larry enjoyed a long and fulfilling career, first with the Provincial Assessment Branch and later with Manitoba Hydro. He was known for his strong work ethic and the many relationships he built over the years.

Beyond his career, Larry was known for his generous spirit and his willingness to help anyone in need. He loved telling jokes, making people laugh, and was never short on stories to share. Family and friends affectionately called him a true “Larry of all trades,” because he always had a fix for just about everything.

Larry enjoyed curling, fishing, hunting, and had a lifelong passion for cars. He was an avid Winnipeg Jets fan and treasured time spent with family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his granddaughter, Devin, who never failed to bring a smile to his face.

Larry was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Rudy and Ron Czarnecki.

He is lovingly remembered by Valery Czarnecki; his daughters, Avery Vaught (Brandon Miraflor) and Angela Czarnecki (Andrew Gallinger); his granddaughter, Devin; and his extended family and friends.

Above all, Larry will be remembered for his generosity, his unwavering willingness to help others, and the immense love and pride he had for his girls.

A Celebration of Life will be held in honour of Larry on August 9, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church Hall, 1500 Day Street, Winnipeg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
