KWAN CHOY KAM
DECEMBER 21, 1944 – OCTOBER 4, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kwan Choy Kam announces his passing, on October 4, 2021 at St. Boniface hospital in Winnipeg, at the age of 76.

It is with great sadness that after a courageous battle with cancer, Kam passed away surrounded by his wife, Yuk Lan, son Chris, and daughters Wai Han, Alice, and Kitty.

Kam was a successful businessman. He was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Canada in 1994. He rebuilt his life from scratch by opening Kam Kong restaurant in downtown, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

He was a loving husband and a patient father. But first and foremost, he was the kindest and greatest grandpa for all 7 of his grandchildren, whom he shared endless laughter and joy with.

The family wishes to thank Cancer Care Manitoba, HSC surgical team/units, and St. Boniface palliative program for their kindness and care during the most difficult time in his life.

A viewing will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 1020 Main Street, proof of vaccination will be required. A graveside service will take place at 2pm on Friday, October 29th at St. Vital cemetery.
