KEVIN JACOB OHLMAN

It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Kevin Jacob Ohlman on 9 October, 2021 at the age of 99 years. He passed away peacefully at Oakview Place Personal Care Home surrounded by his family. He is predeceased by his lovely wife, Sylvia Mary and survived by his Son Glenn (Jacquie), and granddaughter Amanda (Alexi). He leaves to mourn his cherished nieces, nephews, and many friends in Canada and the United States.

Kevin was born in DeSoto, Missouri. He proudly served in the American Navy SS Denver from 1940 to 1947 and was stationed in Pearl Harbor during the attack. He came to Canada shortly after where he met and married Sylvia. He was actively involved in St. Alphonsus Church and the Knights of Columbus. He worked for and managed Imperial Oil for 29 years.

He was a true gentleman and never hesitated to help his friends and family. His kindness will never be forgotten. His family would like to thank Tatiana and the staff of Oakview second floor for the compassionate care he received.

Kevin’s Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church with Interment to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.

Due to current health orders, the family kindly requests only fully vaccinated persons attend the service in his honor.
