JUNE ELIZABETH KILBORN

(NEE MCCULLOCH)

1932 – 2018

June died suddenly on Friday, September 7, 2018 after a brief illness.

The last sibling in her family, June was predeceased by her parents James and Jane Scrimgeour-McCulloch, her sister Margaret, and brothers, John, Jim, and Dave. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years Keith Kilborn, sons Scott and Doug (Ursula), daughter Susan (Chris), and her six grandchildren, Kayla, Michael, Shelby, Elizabeth, Holly, and Anna Joy. She will be missed and remembered by her sister-in-law Barbara Cronkhite, cousins Marjorie Dann and Rae McConnell, best friend Mary Quirt, and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends.

June grew up on Roseberry Street in St. James and remained in the area her entire life. Mom was as smart as a whip and undertook an amazing education as an adult in her 40’s and attended St. James Collegiate, then obtained a degree in criminology at the University of Winnipeg. She was a loyal friend, beloved grandmother, travel lover, and lived every day to the fullest. She was never happier than when she was in the company of her nieces and nephews and grandchildren, hanging out with Auntie Barb and Uncle Pat on Galiano Island, socializing at bingo twice weekly with Mary, sitting on the sandy beach of Siesta Key with her family, and enjoying food wherever she travelled. Key lime pie – she was a connoisseur!
