JULIAN JACOB “JACK/JAKE“ STARR

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Jack on December 20, 2019 at the age of 86 years. Jack succumbed to complications of pneumonia at the Grace Hospital, comfortable and peacefully with family by his side.

Born in Komarno, MB in 1933, Jack grew up and lived on the family farm in his early years. Then acquiring a job at Kimberley Clarke for over 25 years where he met and married his love Anna.  They married in 1962 and raised two children.

An incredible hard working “JACK of all Trades” who had a passion for real estate and property management.  He made family his priority and giving was his second nature. He was a true Blue Bomber and Jets fan and of course was thrilled to see the Bombers bring home the Cup in 2019!!

There is no doubt that the cement in our foundation will be profoundly missed.

Jack leaves to mourn his wife of 57 years Anna, daughter Sharon (Len), son Sheldon, brother David (Sharon), sisters in-law  Helen and Eleanor, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Joseph, mother Doris, brothers Lawrence and Tommy, numerous aunts, uncles and many dear friends.

At Jack’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family ceremony will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CancerCare or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
