JULIA KANE

JULIA (JULIE) KANE (nee KACHANOVSKY) August 23, 1924 -May 1, 2012 It is with sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Julia, blessed mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, with her loved ones at her side, at the Riverview Health Centre. Julia is survived by her son James; daughter Janice and son-in-law Randy; grandsons Kyle (Leah) and Jared (Alisha); great-grand-daughters Kaylee and Alexis; sisters Sophie, Vera and Joanne; brother Joe; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George in 2006; parents; brother Walter; and sister Nadia. Mom was happiest when spending time with her family, especially her young grand-daughters, Kaylee and Alexis. She was always so grateful to have the opportunity to experience great-grandchildren. Her love for her family brought her the greatest joy. Aunt Julie was very happy to have the opportunity to spend special time with her nephew David the past few years, and watch his family grow. Julia spent many happy years at Carriage House and McBeth House, with friends and acquaintances, playing cards and having good times. She loved knitting and crocheting, and watching the Blue Jays play baseball. She spent many happy hours over the years, in her garden and enjoying her yard. At Julia’s request no Service will be held. A special Thanks to the Care givers at Riverview 3 East, Palliative Care Unit for their assistance in making Mom’s last day’s comfortable. In lieu of flowers, donations in Julie’s name may be made to the Kidney Foundation, Unit 1 – 452 Dovercourt Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3Y 1G4. Goodbye my family, my life has passed, I loved you all to the very last.
