Joseph Lupton
1950 to 2024

It is with sadness that we announce that after a lengthy battle with cancer, Joseph Lupton passed away at the age of 73 years, on Thursday February 1st, 2024, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Joseph will be remembered and missed by his family, including his wife, 6 children, and 4 grandchildren.

Joseph was a caring person who enjoyed learning and had a great appreciation of many things, including music, singing in choirs, swimming, and astronomy. His family meant a lot to him and even on the hardest days, hearing from them made him smile. We will miss his “punny” jokes and joyful sense of humour. Even when his condition worsened, his sense of humour still managed to break through.

Our family would like to express our gratitude to the home care workers, nurses, and doctors who were a great support throughout Joseph’s illness, especially those caregivers that went above and beyond in their efforts to interact with him, carefully observing his interests and finding ways to engage him in them. Your efforts treated him as the important individual that he is, and made his last year a little easier for him.

Cremation and a private family gathering have taken place. To honour & celebrate Joseph’s life, a memorial service for family and friends will be held in the coming weeks. Please contact the family for details.
