JOHN ROBERT DYER
October 16, 1946 – July 29, 2019

Peacefully, after a long illness, John was called home on Monday, July 29, 2019 at the age of 72 years.

John is survived by his wife Chris of 40 years; son Andrew; daughters Jennie, and Amy (Andrew); much loved grandson Iggy; sisters Elizabeth (Lorne), Marnie (Barry); brother Reg (Maggie); along with many nieces and nephews. Barry, Judie, Chuck (Wendy), and good friends Heather, Glen, Joannie, and Sinc will miss “The Big Guy”. He was predeceased by his father Bob; mother Marg; and sister-in-law Kathy.

John loved to golf with his friends and family, sing around the campfire at the trailer, play his guitar, and build his model railroad.

At his request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held in his hometown of Peterborough, where he will be laid to rest with his Mom and Dad.

John’s family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Coyle for his many years of care and support for John. Thank you to the Doctors and Nurses in both Emergency and ICU at the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion in his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
