GARY GEORGE BRABANT On Tuesday, January 3, 2012, Gary died peacefully at home with his wife Sandra and his faithful dog, Cayman, by his side, at the age of 60 years. Gary will be missed by Sandra and Cayman; Wes and Kimberley of Little Cayman; Marni and Kirstin and many dedicated friends. He looked forward to and enjoyed the company of those who visited. Gary was a passionate paddler and avid outdoorsman who canoed and kayaked throughout Canada and other parts of the world. He fulfilled his dream by purchasing Wave Track Canoes in the 1990s. One of Gary’s unique expressions was Here comes the sales pitch , but he was determined to be practical, passionate and pragmatic with everyone. He will be sadly missed by the paddling community and the many organizations he volunteered for. His helping hand will be truly missed. In compliance with Gary’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary’s memory can be made to the ALS Society of Manitoba, 493 Madison Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3J 1J2 or a charity of one’s choice.
