 FRANCES L. SHOTBOLT

(NEE MORTON)

November 24,1926 – April 3, 2020

With deep sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, cherished Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

Left to mourn are her children, daughter, Lesley Owens, son, Gary Shotbolt and daughter, Linda (Allen) Jorgenson, grandchildren, Raymond (Angela) Shotbolt, Jacqueline (Andrew) Basha and Nicholas Shotbolt, Kurt (Tracy) and Tony (Katie) Owens, Michael (Kim) and Larysa (Adam) Jorgenson. She will also be missed by her great grandchildren, Anissa, Rianna and Jenaya Shotbolt, Will and Chloe Owens, Alexa and Jack Jorgenson, Gerry and Aimee Basha as well as by her two sisters, Velma Doubleday and Merle Cleland.

Mum was born in Alberta and moved with her family to Manitoba when she was ten years old. Upon completion of school, she moved to Winnipeg to work for Perth’s Cleaners. She met her husband Ray after the Second World War.

Mum also worked at Children’s Hospital when her children were older. She was very active in sports, enjoying mixed baseball, curling and bowling. She was very active in the local community centre. She loved gardening and always had the nicest lot in any campground they parked their trailer at.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bethania for the wonderful care she received while residing there.

In honouring Mum’s wishes a private family memorial service and interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Frankie’s memory may be made to Bethania Personal Care Home, 1045 Concordia Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S7 to the Recreation Program for beloved cats, Peppy and Mitzi.
