ERNESTO FERRITTO April 1, 1915 – November 26, 2011 Peacefully and with great dignity, Dad passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the age of 96 years. Dad has begun his life of eternity to reunite with Mom, who predeceased him on July 1, 1956, three brothers; three brothers-in-law laws, and one sister-in-law. Left to cherish his memory are his three children, Irma (Americo), Domenico (Lucia), Lucy (Frank); seven grandchildren, Fino (Tracy), Marco (Maria), Renzo, Ernesto (Danielle), Mauro, Tina (Jimmy), Susan and fiancée (Ken); five great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Samantha, Lia, Cara and Olivier; as well as sister Tullia of Italy; numerous nieces and nephews in Italy, Argentina and the U.S.A. and many friends. Funeral Liturgy will be Celebrated on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue, Winnipeg with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano, presiding. Entombent will follow in the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren: Fino Di Vincenzo, Marco Di Vincenzo, Renzo Ferritto, Ernesto Ferritto and Mauro Ferritto. The family would like to thank the staff of Station 3 at Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home and also to Dr. K. Moran De Muller for their care and support during this very difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dad’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or The Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3. Dad, you fought a good fight and finished the race. May you forever rest in peace.
