ERNEST JOSEPH KLYNE

July 31, 1939 – March 2, 2026

Peacefully after a brief illness, at his residence at Deer Lodge Centre in Winnipeg, MB, it is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Ernie Klyne.

Ernie was predeceased by his only daughter Tracy and he was the last member of his family to join his siblings and his parents in eternal peace. Together the Klyne’s are all reunited in Heaven.

Ernie loved the great outdoors, camping, fishing and just being with friends and family having a great time and enjoying life to the fullest.  Ernie was a “jack of all trades” but he was the best siding installer there ever was, he was a perfectionist and this showed in his work.

Ernie will be greatly missed by his family and we will never stop sharing stories of our funny Uncle.  He had many great “one liners” that we all quote from time to time. “Best in the West, Number one in the East”, “Don’t you Know”!!

As per Ernie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Funeral Service will be held at Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel 2157 Portage Ave Winnipeg, MB on April 15^th at 2:00 p.m.

HIS JOURNEY’S JUST BEGUN

Don’t think of him as gone away

His journey’s just begun

Life holds so many facets

This earth is only one

Just think of him as resting

From the sorrows and the tears

In a place of warmth and comfort

Where there are no days and years

Think how he must be wishing

That we could know today

How nothing but our sadness

Can really pass away

And think of him as living

In the hearts of those he touched…

For nothing loved is ever lost

And he was loved so much
