ELIZABETH ADA BOWKETT

Elizabeth Ada Bowkett (nee Hoare), 92, of Winnipeg, MB passed away peacefully Monday afternoon, February 24, 2025 at her residence at Misericordia Place.

Daughter of the late George Hoare and Alice Hoare (nee Rose), Elizabeth was born May 12, 1932 in Cheltenham, United Kingdom. It was there that she married her husband Trevor Bowkett,
and where their two daughters, Susan and Joanne were born. In 1965, the family immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada, where their son Graham was later born.

Elizabeth was a skilled homemaker, cook and knitter. Elizabeth worked at various restaurants and workplace cafeterias during her career including the Bank of Montreal and CBC Canada,
serving thousands of Winnipegers over the years. Family was very important to her, she regularly hosted family gatherings and Sunday roasts. Friendly, with a classic British sense of humour, she will be missed by all.

Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband Trevor Bowkett (July 26, 2014), as well as her twin sister Doreen and
sister Barbra. She is survived by her children, Susan (Roger), Joanne and Graham (Paula), as well as her grandchildren, Matthew (Krista), Mark (Lee-Anne), Ryan, Sarah, Chelsea (Joel) and Kathleen (Keaton), and her great-grandchildren, Jesse and Kaylee.

The family would like to thank the staff on MP2 of Misericordia Place for the care they provided during her stay.

In accordance with Elizabeth’s wishes, no funeral ceremony will be held.
