EDWARD KASPER

May 18, 2012

EDWARD KASPER Peacefully, on Friday, May 18, 2012, at the Grace General Hospital, it is with deep regret that we announce the death of Edward at the age of 94 years. Remaining to forever cherish Edward’s memory are his sons Edward and his children Debbie and Jason; Bob (Marlene) of Calgary, AB and their children Kristi, Lisa and Kaili; as well as five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife Isabel (March 17, 2010) of 68 years of marriage, daughter-in-law Gerrie (May 5, 2009), six brothers and two sisters. Edward served four years in the RCAF in the Second World War in London, England. He had a long and distinguished 42 year career as a manager and buyer for the T. Eaton Company in Winnipeg. Besides his family, he had a passion for gardening and was a regular guest on CJOB’s Problem Corner answering people’s questions and concerns. Edward also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors in his garden. In compliance with Edward’s wishes, a private family Graveside Service will be held at a later date in St. James Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Edward’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.   As published in the Winnipeg Free Press on May 19, 2012
