DIANE CAROL EGGERTSON

With deep sorrow we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother Diane Eggertson due to complications after a courageous battle with Covid 19 on June 14, 2021 at 1:46 am, at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg at the age of 74 years.

Diane leaves behind her daughter Christie Poitras (Dave), son Robert Lemke, granddaughters Kirsten Ellison (Kevin), Ashley Gregorashuk, great grandchildren Ada Ellison (4 1/2 years), Blake (15 months), whom she absolutely adored, brother Richard Fortier (Cheryl), nephew Michael Parker (Kirsten) and various friends and coworkers. She had recently found some half siblings which she was very excited about.

Predeceased are her mother Theury Eggertson, Father Frank Kennedy, her sister Austa Eggertson, brothers Erlinger Eggertson and Gunnar Eggertson, niece Kerri Parker and niece Maya Fortier.

She worked as a property manager for over 30 years with Manitoba Housing Authority. Diane loved to go to bingo on occasion and watching the Jets games, but most of all she just loved spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.

A very special thank you to all the ICU doctors and nurses who showed amazing compassion and health care. We cannot thank you enough. She was truly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Life and Internment to follow at a later date when we can all get together again.
