Dennis Patrick McMahon

After a courageous battle with Dementia, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis Patrick McMahon on November 01 , 2022, in Deer Lodge Center, Winnipeg MB at the age of 89 years. Husband of the late Jean McMahon.

Survivors: daughters, Patricia Hodson (Barry), Glenda Field (Joel), Judi Piasecki (Joe); Grandchildren, Brad Hodson (Carrie), Garret Field, Denise Eberley (Josh), Lauren Field (Sandeep), Mitchell Piasecki (Danielle), Morgan Piasecki; Great Grandchildren: Luna Hodson; Emmett Piasecki; Arthur Eberley; Sister: Patricia Goodwin as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Predeceased: Spouse Jean Marion McMahon, parents Mae and Patrick McMahon, raised by Margaret and Edward Hannon, brother Wallace Hannon (Marilyn), Sisters Beverley Grennier, Joyce Strachan (Keith)

Dennis took his Pharmacy degree in Brandon and Winnipeg MB and did his apprenticeship in Kenton MB. He was very active in the Pharmaceutical Association serving as high as president. He owned several drug stores in Manitoba and joined Super Thrifty group. After moving to Winnipeg, dad owned and managed Ringers Pharmacy for many years. Dennis then did relief coverage across the province and in Rankin Inlet NWT. Dennis and Jean loved to travel and made many trips with the Pharmaceutical Association across the world including China and the Middle East. Later in life, trips to Clear Lake for family reunions were highlights of the year. Dennis enjoyed Bridge and golfing and had these hobbies for as long as he was able. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, and he spent as much time as possible on weekly adventures with them.

Special thanks to the care given at Deer Lodge for dad’s final journey.

Cremation has taken place and ashes were spread.
