DALE FRANK WHITE

Dale White passed away peacefully on the morning of July 10, 2018 at the age of 64 years.

Left to survive Dale are his wife Debbi; daughters Marika and Kyra White; his sister Olive (Cyril) Williams as well as his brother Hal White and their families.

Dale Frank White was born in Moosomin, Saskatchewan to James Alvin White and Susan Pathenia Hannah White (nee Crossley). He would spend his childhood days riding his bike with friends from one end of Moosomin to the other. He enjoyed checking out his Grandfather’s garden and couldn’t wait each year for the “new potatoes”. Dale continued to enjoy new potatoes and as a family we would drive to the market garden to purchase a big bag of new potatoes each year.

In 1965, Dale and his family moved to Normandy Drive in Winnipeg. His cousins will remember Dale as a quiet, private individual who loved buying, selling and working on cars.  Family and friends will remember him as a loyal and proud family man.

In 1972 he met Debbi Pendgracs. He told his Mom, “I didn’t find a car, but I found a girl”. Their first date, one week later, was to buy a car (a green Vega). Little did Debbi know that buying cars and car rides would always be an important part of their lives. She will always treasure the memories of these car rides.

Debbi and Dale were married in August of 1979. Marika was born in May of 1992 and Kyra in December of 1996. He was so proud of “his three girls”.  As a family, we enjoyed many, many road trips to Fargo, Grand Forks, South Dakota and Minneapolis to mention just a few. Many hours were spent browsing through car lots deciding which car to purchase next. Dale had owned more than 40 cars, each with a little story attached to each of them.

Dale spent his entire working career in the trucking industry. He was employed at Arnold Bros. Transport for more than 40 years which demonstrated his loyalty to his job. Most recently he was the Risk and Compliance Manager at Big Freight in Steinbach.

A Celebration of Dale’s life will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Canada Inns Polo Park, 1405 St. Matthews Avenue. As Dale did not appreciate suits and ties, please dress casually.

Dale was cared for by the amazing staff at Seven Oaks Hospital during his last week of life and we wish to thank all of them for their respectful and caring ways.

In lieu of flowers, you are welcome to make a donation to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or a charity of your choice.
