CLINTON ERNEST COBBETT

1955 – 2019

It is with heavy hearts the family of Clint shares the news of his passing on the evening of Sunday, January 13, 2019. He suffered for many years with COPD.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Kathy (Wickler); children Meagan (Brandon), and Ashley, and his little cat buddy Louis. He was predeceased by his mother Winnifred and his father-in-law Ronald Wickler Sr. Clint was a loving husband and father.

Clint was born in Shilo, Manitoba. He moved to Winnipeg at a young age. He attended Ralph Brown Elementary School in Winnipeg. As a young teenager former Winnipeg Blue Bomber Dave Washington took Clint under his wings. Clint joined the air force when he was eighteen. After leaving the air force he went on to work at many places including CP Rails as a switchman, DC Electric and a tow truck driver for Highway Towing as well as Dr. Hook Towing. He took martial arts taught to him by his friend John. He was a fast learner and became a blackbelt. His passionate hobby was modeling cars and military vehicles. He has won trophies for junior and senior levels of modeling. He was a long-time member of the International Plastic Modeller’s Society of Winnipeg.

As well as modeling Clint loved to read. He taught himself everything he needed to know about computers from reading books. His greatest joy was when his two daughters where born. His second child was a surprise, but he was very happy. He loved going for coffee at Robin’s Donuts with his friends Frank and Eddie and many others.

He will be deeply missed.
