CHRISTOPHER JOHN DANT

June 8, 1963 – January 27, 2021

Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, Chris passed away at home on January 27, 2021 at the age of 57.

Survived by beloved wife Karen Stuart, son Thomas Stuart-Dant, goddaughter Stacy Joy, brother Rob Dant, sister Shanlee Johnson (Robert) of Winnipeg, niece Sharilyn Johnson of Toronto as well as numerous relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents John “Norman” and Marilyn “Joan” Dant.

Chris was a marketing guy, antique buff, guitarist, hockey writer/agent/scout and cancer fighter! He was the Manager of Group Sales and Partnerships with the Winnipeg Goldeyes Baseball Club, former Account Executive, Corporate Partnerships with the Winnipeg Jets.

He loved spending time at the cottage in Matlock and watching his son Thomas play hockey. Chris was a member of the Fabulous Ford 50’s club, Manitoba Antique Association, played the guitar with St. Charles Community Band, and of course, his dog Rusty.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined.
