Obituaries

I have not seen Cathie for a very long time but I have fond memories of her from the early 1970s. My family lived on Valour Rd and Brent (my cousin) and Cathie lived nearby on Ashburn St. I remember admiring how loving and confident she was as a new mom with her newborn weighing less than 3 pounds! Little Danny was so adorable and Cathie took the time to teach me how to look after him so I could babysit. I also remember Cathie doing peritoneal dialysis at home. She seemed to face these life challenges with a positive attitude and courage. There were also many occasions where Cathie would walk to my house and we would walk together to Chalmers United Church for Sunday service. My thoughts and prayers are with Danny and all of Cathie’s loved ones at this time.
