DONALD BRUCE (OZZY) AUSTIN It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bruce Ozzy’ Austin on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 62 years. Left to cherish Bruce’s memory are his daughters Kristy Elise, Sharon and her family; mother Shirley; sister Carol (Ralph); brother Greg (Elaine) and their children Riley and Carley. He was predeceased by his father Bill. Bruce was born in Toronto and grew up spending summers at Stoney Lake in Ontario. He was an avid swimmer and became an accomplished scuba diver. In 1977 he moved to Winnipeg with then wife, Laura, where they opened their home to many foster children. Kids were always a joy to him; he volunteered at his daughter’s elementary school as well as the Children’s Hospital. His greatest joy though was being Santa. A private family Service will be held in Ontario on Saturday, April 7, 2012.
