It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian, loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother who passed away at home.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife Diane, daughter Lori (John), grandchildren Kaelyn and Cody, his son Brad (Karianne) as well as his sister Sharon. He was predeceeced by both his parents, Connie and Kathleen (nee Gault).

Brian was born in Winnipeg but spent most of his childhood in Bisset Manitoba. He had so may fond memories of growing up there and loved to take his family back to visit his family home. He continued to stay connected to his many friends there and was also a member of the Bissett Historical Society.

In 1967 he met his wife Diane, they married in 1968 and soon after had their beloved children, Lori and Brad. They lived in Winnipeg until they moved to Silver Ridge where the famly operated a business that supplied the community with groceries and fuel. Brian made a lot of great friends in the area during the years they lived there.

In 1984 the family moved back to Winnipeg where he managed the new Texaco station on Portage Ave and Sturgeon Road and of course he made a whole new group of friends in the St James area. Following this endevour he purchased a shop at the Forks where he enjoyed meeting visitors from around the world. In 2006, Brian had a heart attack and sold his buisness. He spent the next seventeen years doing the things he loved the most, spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing and as much time as possilbe at his beloved cottage in Lac Du Bonnet.

Diane, Lori and Brad would like to thank family and friends for reaching out and providing support.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 1, 2023 from 1:00-4:00 at Heritage Victoria Community Center on 950 Sturgeon Road in Winnipeg.
