I am deeply sorry for the loss of this special lady, whose joy of living was contagious . She loved to travel and I shared her enthusiasm any time she booked a trip with me. I will always remember her smile and her kindness. She was to come to the Holy Land with us next week, I will miss her and keep her in my prayers. Good Bless her and keep her in His light. My most heartfelt condolences to her family

Over the many years that I taught with Brenda, I came to appreciate her constant diligence and concern for her students. She always strove to give them her best. I also recall her unshakeable devotion to Bob, Andy and Kevin. After we moved west, I was grateful for Brenda's little updates concerning former colleagues and mutual friends. She knew that I would want that news, and it was so very kind and thoughtful of her to take the time to provide it. I will miss those emails from a friend I will remember with great affection.

Brenda Tate will be remembered fondly by her colleagues in the English Department at River East Collegiate for her enthusiasm for teaching and her compassion for her students. Her personal warmth and openness in speaking her mind made her a great friend and colleague. Students loved her classes and they loved Mrs. Tate. During our last visit with Brenda in the hospital she spoke of her family, her new granddaughter, her sister visiting from Fredericton. Her comment was, "How blessed am I!" She also told us she had planned to visit the Holy Land in November, but was concerned that she wouldn't live to make the journey to visit the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. Coincidentally, Pam and I will be visiting Israel at the time of the Service of Remembrance for Brenda. We regret missing the service, but we are very glad to have paid Brenda a visit in the hospital. We will be offering up prayers in Brenda's name at the Wailing Wall, but we know she has already passed into the realm of eternity where peace reigns.
