It is with great sadness and heartbreak that the family announces the passing of Brenda Anne Gross (nee Burns) due to a short illness with cancer. Brenda died peaceful in her sleep, on Christmas morning.

Brenda was born in Winnipeg to Ralph Norman and Donna Anne Burns. Predeceased by her dad Ralph N. Burns Sr in 1995.

Brenda will be forever remembered and missed by her loving mother Donna Burns, brother Ralph Burns Jr. and Caleb Burns and sister Julia Burns, niece Melody Burns of Victoria B.C., husband Ted Gross and their children Ted Gross Jr, Brendan Gross and Kelly Gross, Grandchildren Addy Gross, Keira Gross and Aurora Gross, who she all so loved dearly.

“Brenda was a wonderful, generous person, a beautiful daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. To Brenda, family was the most important thing in her life. She was deeply proud of her mother, father, brothers, sister, children and grandchildren.

Brenda was devoted to her family would do anything for them.

Brenda came from a large family and will be sadly missed by numerous other family members and countless friends.

Brenda lived and attended school in St James, Winnipeg, Manitoba until graduating from St James Collegiate.

Brenda married Ted Gross in 1974 and follow him and his work to Leaf Rapids, Manitoba, Gillam, Manitoba, Sherwood Park, Alberta, Brandon, Manitoba and finally back to Winnipeg.

Brenda worked at several jobs in those years than found her calling at Deer Lodge Center in Winnipeg, helping the seniors. Brenda loved helping people and Deer Lodge Centre was a perfect match for her. Brenda, after 25 years of service, took a well-deserved retirement from Deer Lodge Centre (Movement Disorder Clinic) in 2017.

A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held in Spring or summer. A notification of place, date and time will be posted.

Brenda will be dearly be missed by all the lives she has touched.

Brenda so loved her pets and will be seeing them all again when she reaches The Rainbow Bridge .

Brenda’s family would like to thank all who cared for Brenda at Cancer Care, Grace Hospital and Hospice.
