BRAD FULLER

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brad Fuller, peacefully after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Riverview Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit.

Left to cherish his memory is Naomi, his wife of 33 years, sons Jessie, Aidan, Cassidy, and Josh, siblings Mary (David) Cole, Jerry DeWayne and Cathy Fuller located in the USA, as well as numerous family members through both blood and love, and many friends.

Brad was born in Colorado on August 31, 1958, the second of 4 children born to Mary and Jerry Fuller. The Fuller family resided mostly in Oklahoma during Brad’s childhood. Naomi and Brad met in Texas in 1989. They married on August 6, 1990 and chose to reside in Canada, where their family was started.

Brad enjoyed computers, which he made his living from, working as a Quality Assurance Testing Analyst. He also appreciated Western books, mostly Louis L’Amour novels, watching John Wayne or old Elvis movies, and enjoying bonfires with his family and friends. His greatest desire was to own a log home on a ranch in Montana with his family, but it was not to be.

Brad’s love, dedication, and care for his family and friends will be greatly missed. He was very protective of his wife, boys and the many additions to his family, making sure that everyone knew he would be there for them anytime, night or day, to help out with anything needed, from designated driving for many outings, providing firewood, a shoulder to lean on, offering a place to stay or food to share, or even his “2 cents worth” of advice.

To the many people who have reached out to share love, hugs, time, meals, gestures of all kinds both large and small, and now, condolences or messages of support for the family, please know we send our heartfelt gratitude and love to you all. Brad’s concern that his family be taken care of was definitely evident in his many conversations, and that care for the family has been felt from those who have reached out to us during this difficult time.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 4th @ 2 pm at Elmwood Christian Fellowship Church, 414 Tweed Avenue. Light refreshments will be served after the service. In Brad’s honour, you can wear Western attire, if you choose.
