BEVERLEY (HOLMS) ARMSTRONG
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Beverley (Holms) Armstrong on October 9th, 2026. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Middlechurch Nursing home in Winnipeg. She was born in Beresford Manitoba, she went to school in Beresford, Souris, and Brandon to later follow her sister Shirley (Holms) Iverson into Winnipeg where she met Brian (her beloved husband of 56 years, predeceased 2022).
She is survived by her son, Todd Armstrong and daughter Debbie Armstrong (Carl Bartels), and grandchildren Isabela and Elliot Bartels, her brother, Dennis Holms and wife Marie, along with many nieces and nephews. Bev was a proud farm kid, grew up on horses and always had a soft spot for animals. She would tell us stories about licking the salt blocks, being chased by turkeys and dogs that lost battles with skunks and porcupines!
Beverley’s enjoyed her career working for the Winnipeg School Division in school libraries in Winnipeg. Once she retired, she could devote more time to travel, crafting and dancing. Bev and Brian founded the B&B Rounds and taught round dancing in Charleswood. They would travel to showcase the dances that they had choreographed and made wonderful friends along the way.
Her smile welcomed everyone, and she was always so happy to entertain, play a game of cards, groom the dogs and care for her grandkids. She made the best chocolate chip cookies and chocolate cupcakes with jellybeans! Bev spent her younger years volunteering for the Children’s Hospital Foundation in Winnipeg at the Book Market.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Children’s Hospital Foundation in her name. She will be dearly missed by all.
Internment will be closed to family.
