ANNA THORVALDSON

(NEE CAYER)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anna Thorvaldson, on September 20, 2019, at the age of 82. She passed peacefully, with her family by her side, at the Grace Hospice in Winnipeg MB.

Anna leaves behind to grieve two children; Jason (Launa) Thorvaldson and Carla (Fredrik) Bergstrom. She also leaves four grandchildren; Tanner (19), Tuva (17), Regan (16) and Emilia (13), two Sisters; Rose Menard and Irene (Con) Fisk, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a large network of close friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years; Albert (Thor) Thorvaldson, her parents; Joseph and Yvonne Cayer; and six siblings.

Anna lived a life filled with great friends/family, music, dancing, laughing and of course cooking.  We will all miss her wonderful food; her kitchen was her happy place. After her career at CIBC, Anna moved to Black Sturgeon Lake to enjoy a lake-side retirement. She worked hard in all aspects of her life and after moving back to Winnipeg in 2006, she continued to grow her social network at Kiwanis Chateau and Fred Douglas Place.

A private service will be held in her honour.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at the Grace Hospice. They were extremely caring during her final months.
