ALMA JUNE FOWLER

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Alma Fowler. She passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026 at Calvary Place Personal Care Home.

Beloved mother of Paul McClinchey (RoseMarie) & Paula Henley (Sam Klack). Cherished grandmother to Tara, Mallory, Jeremy (Amanda) & Rachel (Dustin) and loving great grandmother to Vaughn & Leightyn.

She is survived by her sister Carol Crane (late Arthur Crane), her nephew Gerry Carter (Suzanne).

Predeceased by mother and father (Frank & Florence Fowler) , sister and brother-in-law (Donna and Art Carter), brother-in-law of Carol Crane (Arthur Crane) and her niece (Janice Brevik), great-grandchildren (Liam Hagen and Londyn Clegg).

Alma retired at the Grace Hospital at the age of 76 years old. She loved working with all the special people she called her friends.

In those 35 years she had many passions; Every year she attended the Winnipeg Folk Festival. She loved music and she enjoyed going to concerts. Her music spanned from seeing the Rolling Stones, AC/DC, to Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings.

Our mother loved to travel. Her highlights were New Orleans, New York City and Italy, with many more places in between.

When she wasn’t busy doing all those things, she always had a project going on at home. She fixed her house to represent the artsy person she was.

Mom loved all those things, but she truly loved her family and she loved her dogs.

We will miss our mother deeply every day. Until we meet again!

Special thanks to WHRA Palliative Care for supporting Paul and Paula in her home for over a year. It meant so much to be able to let our mom live in her home until we couldn’t no longer.
