ALFRED JOSEPH PATRICK NUNN

1930 – 2019

With great sadness we announce the death of Alfred Nunn, aged 89 years, on Thursday, March 21, 2019.

Alfred is sadly missed by his wife of 63 years, Barbara; children, Peter, Sheila and Anita, their partners Sandra, Jerry and Bernie; grandchildren, Mark, Andrew, Rachel, Armaan, Alyia, Felicia and Conrad; and great grandchildren Aiden and Jered. He was predeceased by his daughter Joyce, twin brother Bob and older brother Bill.

Alfred and Barbara ran the Austin Sports Centre and created Austin Raceways, one of Canada’s most challenging Motocross tracks. He served on the hospital board, Austin Credit Union Board, and was president of the board that brought natural gas to Austin.

Alfred, we hope you are riding a motorbike at full throttle on a dirt track somewhere.

Cremation will take place for family only. A celebration of Alfred’s life will be held on Friday April 12, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Austin & District Community Hall.
